Receipt book, 1769-1781.

Consists of receipts for a variety of products and activities. Many of the entries merely give an amount paid. Sums suggest that they were related to business ventures. Payments for carting tons of iron from the Carlisle Works, hauling hay, renting a store, dying velvet, and repairing shoes are noted. Such products as bushels of food, hats, books, and chests of tea are represented.

Cadwalader Morris (February 19, 1741—January 25, 1795) was an American merchant and politician from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
